In the company of Teesside Archives guide, Christine Corbett, come with us for an afternoon walk along the river Tees. Christine will tell us of the history of the industry that sprang up along the river; the Tees Barrage; the wildlife that has come back to its waters and the Portrack Marsh after the clean-up of the river, and much more.

Starting at 1.30 pm we will assemble at the Barrage on the north side of the river and walk to the Newport Bridge, crossing over (there are steps!) and returning along the south side of the Tees back to the Barrage.
