The Northumbria Region Groups Coordinators Network meets approximately monthly via Zoom, on different days/times to try to suit most of our members at least sometimes.
It's open to the Groups Coordinator of any u3a in the Region. The meetings are very informal, and we aim to pool our respective experience, ideas and knowledge to try to help with any questions or problems the attendees are facing, either raised at the meeting or brought to our attention beforehand. Notes are always sent out after each meeting to everyone on our member list, whether they were able to attend or not. There's also a Google Group which members can use to post questions or share ideas, and to access the notes of past meetings.
The discussions are led by Mo Brown, one of the Regional Support Workers, who keeps us on the straight and narrow. The note-taker is Kathy Clegg who will soon be one of the Region's representatives on the new u3a Council and able to escalate issues to that body if appropriate.
Email Kathy on Groups Co-ordinators with a request to join the group or for details of upcoming meetings, and Mo can be contacted via Mo Brown.
