‘Pre-Raphaelites: Art and Poetry’ Tours at the Laing
Venue: Laing Art Gallery function room for a presentation about the exhibits followed by a guided tour of the exhibition.
This exhibition is a highlight in the year for the Laing and the North -East and will show the interconnection between decorative art and the written word.
According to the Laing, it is ‘the first in-depth exploration of the connection between Pre-Raphaelite art and poetry’.
The star line - up includes eg ‘Laus Veneris’ and the poems of Dante and Christina Rossetti, Keats and Chaucer. Wow!!
